Perspective On The Events of Today and Going Forward:

It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humanity.  t is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in nobles. Psalm 118:8-9

Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul!  I will praise the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation. When his breath departs, he returns to the earth; on that very day his plans perish. Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God, who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who keeps faith forever; who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets the prisoners free;  Psalm 146:1-7

Almighty God, Creator of everything, including those who run our government. Help us to remember that there is no authority except from You, and those that exist have been instituted by You. (Romans 13:1). Give us peace today no matter who is elected. The true peace that passes all understanding. That which is from above and alien to those who don’t know you. Remind us that our hope is in you and not  a conservative or liberal government.  We thank you that we have a better home awaiting us on the day that we leave this mortal  and fallen world. Protect the candidates and their families. Open the eyes and ears of the remaining voters to see and hear truth. Give the victors in this race wisdom and the desire to fulfill their duties according to our Constitution. Let Your will be done this day and give us the faith to trust that no matter what, you are in control. Give us strength to  forget what lies behind and to continue straining forward to what lies ahead. To press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus, our LORD (Philippians 3:13-14).
