Week 2 Lent
I guess I have to do weeks since I have had no time to do days :)
So we see that the main consequence of sin is the separation of God from His creation...even nature: For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.
Romans 8:20-23 (ESV)
The important thing to remember is that restoring our relationship with God is the goal, not escaping hell. Ask yourself, "Why is hell so bad?" Now look at these verses and pay close attention to 2Thessalonians 1:9:
So, why is heaven so great? What is the treasure we have in heaven waiting for us?

Think of the earth and nature, can you name something that is not living the way it was originally intended? Go back to Genesis 3 if you need some ideas. Draw a picture of something in nature that might be happy if the curse was lifted.
