Who is the holy spirit? The bible is literally FILLED with references to the Spirit of God or the Spirit of the Lord. There are far too many to list but here are a few:

The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
Genesis 1:2 (ESV)


Then the LORD said, My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.
Genesis 6:3 (ESV)

And Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find a man like this, in whom is the Spirit of God?”

and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, with intelligence, with knowledge, and with all craftsmanship,
