Gratefullness 1
I looked up gratefulness today in the bible only to find that the word is used only one time in the ESV.
Hebrews 12:28 (ESV)
And the word thankful is used only once as well.
Colossians 3:15 (ESV)
Thankfulness is used twice.
1 Corinthians 10:30 (ESV) & Colossians 3:16 (ESV)
The Word Thanks However is used 131 times and the word Thanksgiving is used 44 times.
The first time thanks was used in in 1 Chronicles 16:4
I believe that my lethargy and compulsive filling with food and stuff is directly related to ungratefulness. So I am beginning "One Grateful Thing Before Work" theme for now.
Today's section is this:
Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all.
Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all.
And now we thank you, our God, and praise your glorious name.
