What did you discover about God from this study?
During the season of Advent we hear many Christmas carols. Each week one will be included in our lesson. Take some time to read the words. Christian music should teach as well as inspire so look for the lessons.
Do the same when you are in church singing hymns or praise songs. Learn to listen for truth. You may be surprised to find error or miscommunication in some.
Come Thou Long Expected Jesus - Text: Charles Wesley, 1707-1788
Come, thou long expected Jesus, born to set thy people free;
from our fears and sins release us,
Let us find our rest in thee.
Israel's strength and consolation,
hope of all the earth thou art;
dear desire of every nation, joy of every longing heart.
Born thy people to deliver,
a child and yet a King, born to reign in us forever,
now thy gracious kingdom bring.
By thine own eternal spirit rule in all our hearts alone;
by thine all sufficient merit, raise us to thy glorious throne
A while ago I posted a whale and the Christmas star coloring page. I am going to post it again today. Hopefully I will have a series of Christmas pages to post as the days go by,
Plus, a series ofpowerpoint backgrounds for Advent:
