Two new verses and more thoughts about our fear of losing America:

Proverbs 23:17 (ESV)
Let not your heart envy sinners, but continue in the fear of the Lord all the day.

Proverbs 8:13 (ESV)
The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.

God doesn’t like arrogance - even in believers. The way we deal with those who don’t want what we want will either be humble or arrogant. I do sometimes envy unbelievers who say whatever they want but call me intolerant when my opinion is different than theirs. I envy the fact that they can say whatever they want. To continue in the fear of the Lord all day is the goal.

1 Kings 5-8

Did Solomon know what cherubim looked like or did God allow human interpretation? I really hope we get to see the temple. I can't fathom the artwork let alone the gold overlay.

On the eighth day he sent the people away, and they blessed the king and went to their homes joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that the Lord had shown to David his servant and to Israel his people. 1 Kings 8:66 (ESV)

Oh what a feast it must have been! How sad for them and for us that the joy is short lived. We need to think about the goodness which the Lord has shown us every day.
The ark was brought back in the month of Ethanim which is known as Tishrei.

This may have been in September or October and is the first civil month of the Hebrew calendar. Wikipedia has a great timeline of events in this month. The first entry is this:

Tishrei - Adam & Eve were created (3761 BCE) On Tishrei 1, which corresponds to the sixth day of creation -- "God said: 'Let us make Man in Our image, after Our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth...'" (Genesis 1:26).

Close ups.  I have redone these and replaced the textured backgrounds with flat, I like them so much better.
