Every king after Josiah was evil until there was no remedy and God destroyed Judah. God gave everything over to the Chaldeans and they had no compassion. The temple was burned and everything of value taken or destroyed. Anyone who escaped the sword were taken into Babylon and made slaves. This was a fulfillment of a prophecy given to Jeremiah. God said that the land would enjoy its Sabbaths that it never got when they lived there. They did not obey the 7th year rests as they should have. So they were exiled at this point 70 years. Then God used a non-Jew to organize the rebuilding...Cyrus King of Persia. AMAZING
